Asian Paints has entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Gujarat
The company has commenced the proposed expansion of manufacturing capacity of paint from 1,30,000 ltr to 2,50,000 ltr and resins and emulsions from 32,000 tonne to 85,000 tonne at its manufacturing facility situated at Ankleshwar to be completed over a period of the next two to three years
The total investment is approximately Rs 960 crore on plant and machinery at the current prevailing prices
This expansion will be carried out on the existing land owned by the company
